CurbScope Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information CurbScope ("CurbScope," "we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the CurbScope iOS app, the website at curbscope.ai, and related services (together, the "Service"). We have tried to write it in plain language. Questions are always welcome at [email protected].

1. Who We Are

CurbScope is a consumer property-intelligence app: point your phone at a home to see ownership, sale history, and related property records. The Service is operated by CurbScope. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store only a cryptographic hash of it — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider and never see your password for that service.

Precise location. The core of CurbScope is showing you information about the properties around you, so while you use the app we collect your device's precise location to find nearby properties and position them on screen. Location is used to operate this core functionality; you can withdraw location permission in your device settings, though the camera and map experiences will not work without it.

Camera. The AR view uses your device's camera so property cards can float over the homes you point at. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers and never stored by us.

Search history. We keep a history of the addresses and properties you search for and view within the app, so we can show you your recent activity and improve results.

Device identifiers. We assign and store device identifiers to operate anonymous access (trying the app before creating an account), to enforce usage limits, and to prevent abuse of the Service.

Purchases and subscriptions. If you subscribe or buy lookup credits, our payment providers process the payment. We receive information about the transaction — plan, amount, status — but we never see or store your full card number.

Usage analytics. We collect feature-usage events (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), tied to your account or device, to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

Property information. The property data displayed in the app — ownership, sale history, physical characteristics, and similar records — is compiled from public records and third-party sources. It is information about properties, not information we collect from you.

3. Contact Lookups

Some paid features return contact information about property owners (for example, phone numbers or mailing details) sourced from third-party providers. When you run a paid lookup, we store the results so we can show them back to you — the purchaser — without charging you again. These features are subject to the use restrictions in our Terms of Use.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in these situations:

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists, and keep transaction records as needed for accounting and legal requirements.

You can delete your account at any time:

Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period — if you change your mind within 30 days, you can contact us to cancel the deletion. After the grace period, your account data is removed from our active systems.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond to verified requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we honor those as required.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email, and the updated policy takes effect when posted (or a later stated date). The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
